Christmas is about family and friends, and so is Goodness Matters. Our Goodness Matters Christmas, Cookies and Cheer event brought together a few delightful women to bake and decorate treats. It began as an idea that Gail and I had to focus on a group of “the few” whose hearts are kind. These ladies enjoyed creating cookies together, then were willing to pay the goodness forward by taking canisters of cookies to others.
Everyone had a blast giggling and guffawing, using creativity, and preparing to share some goodness among themselves and others. Gail, a “hostess with the mostest,” was kind enough to let us use her home. The pay-it-forward element was that each person packed and delivered their treats to three different homes. That’s called “sharing goodness!”
Thanks to all who participated. This Goodness Matters event was a good success in sharing together and paying-it-forward. . . and delicious as well. We believe each lady left with a good memory, increased friendship and felt full of cheer.
We hope you’re doing good things this holiday season to bring goodness to others. Please share them with us by jotting a few lines below.
Because Goodness Matters!
“On Monday evening eight ladies and myself were invited to a very fun evening at Gail Harman’s home. These ladies. all with different circumstances in their life. came together to enjoy fun and fellowship. We felt love, goodness, and laughter as we cut out & decorated Christmas cookies. We later boxed them up to take to friends and spread some Christmas cheer. It was a relaxing time that many needed, just to feel extra love. I hope to continue this beautiful tradition myself for years to come.”
